NEW YORK — Jacob Elordi has been cast as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen in a new Sofia Coppola film that retells the story of the infamous and short-lived ruler of Arrakis from the perspective of his girlfriend Margot Fenring.
“It’s kinda funny that Austin [Butler] also played Feyd-Rautha in ‘Dune: Part Two’ and they both just played Elvis Presley, but it’s totally a coincidence. These things happen all the time; it’s not like Denis and Austin have exclusive rights to the story of the Harkonnens’ brutal campaign on Arrakis,” Coppola explained.
“Honestly, Feyd is going to be a sort of background character in my movie ‘Margot,’ which comes out 2025,” she added. “It’s far more about Fenring being left behind on the Harkonnen home planet Giedi Prime left with nothing to do but sit around. We don’t see Feyd fight even once.”
Despite Coppola’s explanation, ‘Dune: Part Two’ actor Austin Butler reportedly felt hurt by the actor’s choice.
“I mean come on, baby. Man, I’m just tryina do my films, and this here Jacob sure feels like he’s followin’ in my dang footsteps, alright?” Butler said, still tragically stuck in his Elvis impression ever since performing as the famous musician in 2022 — an occurrence that doctors have been unable to fix or explain. “He’s got me feelin’ like a hound dog, cryin’ all the time. Sorry, I’m sorry, it’s a condition, baby.”
When asked who he’d like to play next, Elordi paused and asked if he could quickly open up IMDb on his phone.
