Luigi Mangione Booked By NYPD, Dave Franco Booked By Paramount

LOS ANGELES — Actor Dave Franco has reportedly already signed on to play Luigi Mangione, the suspect currently in custody as the potential killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

“Whether he did it or not, it’s good to just lock it in now. If this guy who looks exactly like Dave shot that CEO, then we’re all gonna make so much fucking money,” said Franco’s agent. “And yeah, obviously we’ve already got Jonah Hill on board to play Thompson. Hell, we’re even in negotiations to cast Chris Pratt as one of the cops. Just seems stupid to not get it all in writing right away.”

Franco said he is excited to potentially play the role of Mangione.

“Is the shooting of a healthcare executive good or bad? For the sake of my career, I am not allowed to make any statements that aren’t completely neutral. But I think it’s an incredibly rich role,” Franco said. “And the guy who did it — who again, I will not comment on morally in any way, lest I anger either side of my fanbase — has my same winning smile. At the end of the day, everyone deserves to be played in a movie. Especially if they were talked about in the news a lot and are already beautiful.”

At press time, NYPD officers confirmed that if the working script for the upcoming film, currently being penned by Aaron Sorkin, is any good, they would be willing to just plant a manifesto on Mangione and call it a day.
