“Poor Things” Wins Make-Up Award for Team Behind Shrinking Willem Dafoe’s Penis to Normal Size

HOLLYWOOD — The team who worked on making Willem Dafoe’s gargantuan penis look normal in the film “Poor Things” won the Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling last night.

“It’s such an honor to be recognized for your hard work. We’d like to thank the Academy, Yorgos Lanthimos, and of course, Willem Dafoe,” said “Poor Things” make-up artist Nadia Stacey during her acceptance speech. “Handling Mr. Dafoe’s penis was one of the highlights of my career and we couldn’t have gotten this far without it.”

Dafoe praised everyone who worked on the film after the ceremony ended.

“I’m so lucky to have worked with this incredible team. Honestly, I don’t quite understand why my penis can’t just be the size it normally is — especially considering it isn’t shown on screen once in the film. But as an actor, it’s not my job to question the process,” Dafoe explained. “I know the size of it… scares people. But was my character not meant to be a monster? Sorry, I’m sorry, I’m trying not to focus on it. I’m very thankful to have gotten to work on this film and with these people.”

Dafoe is currently working with A24 to produce a film for him to star in about a character who has the same size penis that he has in real life.
