Toho Studios Announces Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color/Minus Godzilla/Plus Morbius/Plus Color

TOKYO — Toho Studios announced today that a new version of “Godzilla Minus One” will be released in February 2024 called “Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color/Minus Godzilla/Plus Morbius/Plus Color.”

“We love that Godzilla fans are so excited about this film and are willing to watch each and every variation of it. We think this next one is really going to blow everybody’s minds and help see this terrific story in a completely new light,” Toho Studios said in its announcement. “This version of the film brings Godzilla into his classic black and white, removes him from the movie, adds the entirety of the hit 2022 film ‘Morbius,’ and then adds all of the color back. It features completely new dialogue, an entirely different story, is 21 minutes shorter, and is literally just the movie ‘Morbius.’

Those who saw the early screenings of the new version of “Godzilla Minus One” were reportedly blown away.

“Holy shit, I just got out of ‘Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color/Minus Godzilla/Plus Morbius/Plus Color’ and it’s probably the best Godzilla movie I’ve ever seen,” said one Twitter user. “You can really see Japan reckoning with the horrors of the WW2 atomic bombings with the character of Dr. Michael Morbius, the living vampire. The way that his body wants him to drink the red blood because it’s more powerful, but he wants to drink the blue blood because it’s synthetic, also reminded me a lot of the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster.”

“The little dance that Matt Smith does in the mirror while putting on his suit is representative of American imperialism,” a comment explained.

The film releases February 18th, 2024, but sources within Toho Studios revealed that the VFX team is doing its best to somehow get “And Knuckles” into the title before then.
