OKLAHOMA — John Hinckley, who spent decades in prison after attempting to kill President Ronald Reagan in a “love offering” for Jodie Foster, said today that people are being weirdos about Sydney Sweeney.
“It’s getting to be a bit much. These famous actresses have no idea what you’re talking about when you say they’re all-in on some political nonsense you’re preaching,” said Hinckley. “And trust me, you’re never going to get her attention. If trying to kill the President doesn’t work, who are you gonna shoot? God?”
Patricia Krenwinkel, who is serving a lifetime prison sentence for seven counts of first-degree murder committed during her time in the Manson family, agreed with Hinckley.
“It gives me the heebie-jeebies,” she said. “It just absolutely disgusts me when some creep makes an innocent person a pawn in some personal culture war they’ve invented.”
The actress herself had little to say about the matter.
“I don’t talk about online,” Sweeney said. “That’d be like sprinting into a tornado.”
To his credit, Hinckley says he is a fully reformed man. “I watched all of True Detective season 4,” he said, smiling proudly. “I thought it was only OK!”
