Toxic Fallout Fans Zoom in Slow-Motion on Fallout Series’ Flaws

UNITED STATES — Fans of Bethesda’s “Fallout” video game series used skills acquired through years of gameplay to identify individual pieces of the Prime series’ trailer, and the chance that they are flaws.

“Looks like a 92% chance the set design is actually good,” said Brian Donalds from his gaming chair. “But honestly, I’ll take that 8% chance and still have plenty of time to find something I hate.” He then resumed the trailer at .1x speed.

As the trailer continued, Donalds seemed to grow more and more depressed.

“It’s looking particularly faithful to the source material,” he said, clutching his head in his hands. “I feel like I’m gonna miss every shot. Oh, God, I’m up against the Westworld creators?”

Other fans are famous for making use of something they call “quicksaving,” which means making a burner account for every prediction, and taking credit for the ones that land.

“Yeah, I have well over thirty save files,” said another fan, Donald Brians. “Have to make sure I get the good ending — that’s the one where I’m right. I just love Fallout so much, so I hope this sucks.”

At press time, these gamers moved to complain about the female protagonist, but were faced with the jarring realization the rest of the world has long since moved on from their 1950’s-inspired lifestyle.
